I can appreciate the difficulty in teachers individualising student programs ensuring they are getting the right intervention and support specific to their needs. It’s a lot to ask by any means. But, what if we could make it easier and developed a method that gets you one step closer?

What if there was a standardised funnel system that could generate structure and direction leading to purposeful programs and the right support with the ultimate goal being student success in health and wellbeing.

The GPTQA Flow

The GPTQA flow has been created from a decade of research and investigation around the fundamental components of physical literacy globally.

Our well-being is built on the solid foundation of a stable body and mind, two pillars of a bridge if you like. When our body is injured, our mind is under stress and similarly when we are anxious our body will not perform at its most efficient.

Our body can be tracked through assessing posture, composition, measurements and awareness, the “static you”, while our mind is assessed through other primitive components including cognition, psychology and sociology.

With a stable body and mind we can start to build the physical wellness and like pillars of a bridge, the body and mind act as the foundation for our development.

By using the flow as the center and hub for teachers understanding we can set a baseline to identify the missing links. Through structure, further workshops, education, tracking tools and objective assessment and a network of local allied health support they can understand if they are being effective in their students program and adjust course as required. This will not only impact the student in their primary and high school years but throughout their lifespan, adding to their insurance policy of prevention and longevity.

The Difference | Injecting a new concept into “teaching the teachers”

Imagine if we were all talking the same “wellbeing language”, from grassroots level to adulthood. Imagine if it was constantly reinforced with positive habitual change, tracking, objective measures and support. Teachers are the links, they have the access and time with students to begin to develop this central message and common language.

By developing a simple filter system we give teachers the ability to significantly impact a students health by pinpointing the right support needed. It gives the capability to recognise problems like pain, dysfunction, sedentary behaviour and mental health before they become significant.
